Shipping solution Shyp announced today that it will provide on-demand order fulfillment services to Shopify (NYSE:SHOP) merchants in New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Services include order pickup scheduling, pick and pack parcels and fulfillment management, all managed from the Shyp mobile app.
“As online retailers’ businesses grow, the time and cost allocated to getting orders fulfilled quickly can be challenging,” said Maia Benson, global general manager of shipping and fulfillment for Shopify. “Merchants consistently ask us for a better way to do the job, one that is cost-effective and delivers a great consumer experience. Shyp’s mobile app makes it easy for our merchants to get their orders picked up, professionally packaged and shipped — all while ensuring the tracking data is easily accessible within each order.”

Once they connect their stores, Shopify merchants view their orders in the mobile app. A single click sends a pickup request, and retailers can opt to get custom packing if they choose.
Shyp picks the best shipping options and rates from its three carrier partners: USPS, FedEx and UPS. Merchants get tracking information sent automatically to the Shopify admin console. They can also batch print shipping labels from any device and drop off packaged parcels at carrier-designated locations, the announcement said.
