  5. Hi Annie,

Good post. I particularly appreciate the focus on technology. With the growing abundance of cost effective marketing technology available, the playing field is really leveling off for small businesses taking on bigger players with bigger budgets. Technology should help scale and create efficiency. One thing to avoid is throwing technology at problems. Before long you end up with a bunch of individual pieces of technology and no scale. In theory, marketing technology should work together, creating a snowball effect to create momentum. To do that a business needs a rough framework for how they want to adopt technology. The easiest one to adopt is one that looks like you buyer journey. Find tools that help in each stage, relate to each other and then you’re in business !

  7. The article you linked to about content is a great one. The advice of looking to improve on your current content instead of trying to predict the future of content marketing is accurate. Most importantly, it’s important to have a solid content marketing plan in place that involves a professional content writer and an experienced SEO converter.

  8. The ROI a business owner can receive from the money they invest into a solid marketing plan will more than awaken them to the concept that marketing can’t be free or it won’t work. Sure, there are organic things every business owner can do to help things along, but real growth will happen when you invest in a professional team.
