Storyboards

Three new Animoto pre-built storyboards have been released to work within a new partnership between the companies. Small businesses can customize any of these video templates with their own text, video clips and photos. They’ve been designed to help HubSpot’s marketing clients promote events, products, or even tease a blog post.

Partnership

A partnership between the companies was recently announced whereby Animoto will partner with the HubSpot Connect Partner program during  INBOUND 2017. It comes at a time when both CEOs have been filling the sails behind the video-for-small-business trend.

Animoto CEO Brad Jefferson says, “Businesses need to learn to ‘speak video’ fluently if they want to connect with their customers.”

Last November, HubSpot’s CEO, Brian Halligan, was quoted as saying:  “In 2018, 50% of your content should be video.”

Process

Jeff Kahsen, Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships at Animoto told Small Business Trends the partnership focuses the cresting need for a simple video process.

“The release of our Marketing Video Builder last October offered us an opportunity to partner in new ways with other platforms like HubSpot, where we could collaborate together to craft video templates – or storyboards – that specifically met our partners’ customer needs with minimal effort,” Kahsen tell Small Business Trends.

It was HubSpot’s business customers that started the ball rolling toward the partnership. They wanted a set of tools to create videos in a cost effective and timely manner.

Force a Fit

Kahsen says the two companies didn’t need to force a fit.

“ Our  paths converged fairly organically,” he says. “Once we started talking, it was obvious that there was a natural fit and a way that we could work together to address a very real need for HubSpot’s customers.”

The HubSpot Connect Partner program integrates marketing, CRM and sales software. Animoto’s  Marketing Video Builder folds into the HubSpot program with pre-built storyboards and some other features like over 2000 licensed songs.

Animoto specializes in helping small businesses and other create professional videos  online. HubSpot provides sales and inbound marketing software.

  1. Hubspot is a very powerful platform and this makes a lot of sense as an addition to their offering. Should produce some positive results for both sides.
