  1. The two biggest things I’ve gotten from heatmaps on websites are these:
    – Understanding when people click on an element that isn’t actually a link
    – Seeing when a less important component is dominating attention instead of a primary component

    Also, keep in mind that most heatmaps are based on cursor position and are NOT eye-tracking tools, so it’s a fuzzy indicator of attention, not a precise one.
