An Absorbing Look at Blogging History – Blawg Review

Have you ever wondered how long the blogs you read will still be around? And what about the bloggers who write them — will they still be committed to their blogs or will their interests cause them to move on?

The weekly roundup of law blog posts known as the Blawg Review gives us an insightful look into this ebb and flow of blogs.

The 100th anniversary edition of the Blawg Review is a retrospective. It’s an absorbing trek backwards in time, remarkable for its witticisms and often humorous presentation illustrating how many blogs that once hosted the Blawg Review have been abandoned or have had the writer move on to bigger and (hopefully) better things — with or without explanation.

For instance, in one case this week’s editor notes that a past Blawg Review posting simply disappeared, “inexplicably … ended up in a ditch somewhere on the information superhighway and hasn’t been seen since.”
