Joshua Sophy is the Editor for Small Business Trends and the Head of Content Partnerships. A journalist with 20 years of experience in traditional and online media, Joshua supervises the day-to-day operations of Small Business Trends' busy editorial department including the editorial calendar and outgoing assignments. Joshua is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists and got his start in the rough and tumble newspaper business of Pennsylvania's coal region. First as a sports writer and later as a beat reporter covering daily news. He eventually founded his own local newspaper, the Pottsville Free Press, covering his hometown. There, he served not only as editor but also doing layout and even delivering the paper and selling ads. Joshua then moved to the online copywriting world after a stint as a weekly newspaper editor for the Journal Register. He joined Small Business Trends as a breaking news and tech writer in 2013, where he covered such memorable events as the launch of Instagram video.
