Thomas R. Giddens is Senior Vice President, Director of Sales, at Aflac. He began his career with Aflac in 1983 as assistant vice president in the marketing department. He left headquarters for the field where he excelled for more than 20 years. He was a regional sales coordinator in Atlanta and he consistently exceeded goals and earned the number one spot for regional sales coordinator four times, resulting in his promotion to state sales coordinator. As state sales coordinator of Georgia-North, Thomas was recognized as the company's top salesperson for three consecutive years, setting the company's all-time sales record. In 2007, his numerous achievements and contributions were recognized when he became the youngest member of the Aflac Sales Hall of Fame. Thomas was named Southeast territory director in 2009, and senior vice president, co-director of sales in May 2010, before assuming his current role. He serves as a board member for Aflac Credit Union, the Cobb County School Foundation, and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia Southwestern University.
