Please join me in San Diego next Tuesday, February 26, 2008.
There’s a free 1-hour marketing workshop at a local Staples store, in cooperation with HP, and I’ll be there.
The event is open to the public — and YOU are invited. You can pick up some nice freebies, too.
What is it?
This is an event designed for businesspeople like you — anyone who wants to learn more about creating professional looking marketing documents on your own.
Here’s the flyer that explains more (click for larger image):
Who can attend?
The event is open to all. They do ask that you register in advance, so that they have enough room for everyone (they want to keep these small groups). Register for marketing workshop.
What does it cost?
It is free. 🙂
In fact, you will be able to take back some goodies and specials when you leave. There’s a marketing toolkit and CD (a $399 value) from HP that includes templates and other resources for creating brochures, business cards, and so on. There’s also a $50 credit for a professional design package through Logoworks.
I’ll also have examples of some of my own documents that I’ve created. You’ll be able to see real-life examples.
What will you cover, Anita?
I will be one of several people there discussing small business marketing, especially do-it-yourself marketing. Think of this as Marketing 101 for creating a professional impression using business documents. We’ll cover everything from what “voice” to use in your documents, to how to choose fonts, to the right colors, to setting up professional-looking templates, to choosing the right materials to print with.
Each workshop consists of 30 minutes of information, and 30 minutes of live hands-on demonstration. So this is not just telling — it’s also showing.
Join me!
More than anything, it would be wonderful to meet you in person. I’m told this particular Staples is centrally-located in the heart of Mission Valley. The address is: 1880 Camino De La Reina, San Diego, California.
And if you can’t make that location, there are other workshops in several states (although I probably will not be at those). So far I am scheduled only at the San Diego location on February 26. There are 2 workshops that day and I’ll be at both.
Hope to see you there! Please register to reserve a spot.
